The Cadet/Jr. Firefighter Program is a great way for teenagers to learn about teamwork, hard work, and serving their community.  It can also provide them with scholarship opportunities through the National Volunteer Fire Council, as well as improving their portfolio for college.

The cadets will always be supervised, and they will be expected to participate in the training activities presented to them.

If you are age 14-18, and you are interested in joining the Salem Fire Department Cadet Program, pick up an application packet at Station 1 on Salem Road on Mondays or Thursdays.
